The T in GLBT, Transgender Blog Round Up

by no_I_am_zoe at 2:50am Thu, 28 Aug 2008 under Life, GLBT
A few days after my dad suggested that I write about "why gays are so unhappy," he asked me if I had read about the local GLBTI group in the paper that morning. My first thought was, "here we go again, he just can't resist pushing my buttons." My next thought was, "GLBT - I"? When did it become GLBTI?

Live-blogging Joe Biden

by Morra Aarons Mele at 8:28pm Wed, 27 Aug 2008 under Politics & News, Election 2008, CONVENTIONS, DNC, Joe Biden
I LOVE that Biden is being introduced through his groundbreaking support of VAWA, the violence against women act.PunditMom is live-blogging the speech over at Momocrats. I love Jill Biden right now- how overwhelming this must be for her. I am so touched by Biden the father. I am so touched by Michelle Obama crying her eyes out. I love that we have men on the podium who are openly emotional- who cry and hug and kiss, father and son. And Biden did a wonderful job of setting apart his life as an underdog's, a fighter's.

Her wife, partner of 55 years, Phyllis Lyon was by her side when she died. After hearing the news, I immediately went my computer to make sure it was true. I couldn't quite believe it. It was confirmed by a story on CNN.com.

Coming up with something to wear every day can be hard work -- that is, until you find your style groove and fill your closet with pieces that you can mix and match and wear comfortably anywhere.  And then you're all set!  At least until something unusual crops up, like a black tie dinner.  Then you're back to square one AND you're worried about what on earth you're going to wear.  Fun!
