I'm a single black woman and a homeowner living in the NYC area. I work in the media and love television, movies, tennis, online video, handbags, and pop culture. I get fired up about politics, racial issues and the media's influence on our everyday lives. I try to reflect all of that on my personal blog Megan's Minute: Quirky Commentary Around The Clock.

In addition to being a Contributing Editor for BlogHer covering TV and online video, I also write about TV at Video Runway.

Since I started blogging last year, I've felt like a human volcano, words spewing
forth almost out of my control.  When people read my posts I hope they have a laugh, crack a smile, or think about something they've never thought about before.

I think for women of color, blogs are especially important so that our voices are heard in the ever expanding blogosphere.
