This Friday, like every Friday, Jewish Mamas everywhere will be kneading dough for the challah. Some days they will rush through the process, eager to have their task done by sunset. (Which let's face it, is getting early every week in the Western hemisphere!) But other days, when life has not been too hectic and hearts have not been too wrung out, these home-based priestesses will create soul food.
This week it's National Buy Nothing Day, a special day where we avoid the after Thanksgiving Day sales and purchase absolutely nothing for one whole day. It's like a high-colonic for the soul. You may not want to do it, but you will feel so. much. better.

It's almost that time of year again--"The Holidays"--and whether you celebrate Christmas (the cultural or the religious variety), Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, Pancha Ganapati, or any other lovely holiday that I've neglected to mention, gifts are probably involved. In my opinion friends, it's time to get your craft on!
Crafting gifts expresses care, makes a smaller impact on our world and our wallets, and just generally makes a person feel hygge. How does crafting promote soulcare?
On Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, we remember our loved one's who have gone before us and the saints who have inspired us. (Sometimes they are even one in the same.) This year I invited bloggers to take some time to remember dear souls. A number of you responded, sending me your links.
